Introduction of the CBC Credo (Compliance Code of Conduct)

Dear Team,

Have you heard of the term “Credo”? It refers to a written set of principles and guidelines that employees should uphold and follow in their work. The Credo of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, renowned for its world-class hospitality, is particularly famous. In their “Employee Promise,” it is stated that “the company exists for the employees.”

The Ritz-Carlton explains that when the company values and trusts its employees as its most valuable assets, the employees, in turn, strive to create meaningful work and gain a sense of pride and joy. This aligns with our CBC’s corporate philosophy, Dream Together.

Now, let’s talk about the newly established “CBC Credo.” While it serves as a code of conduct, it is not a set of office rules or regulations that dictate what you should NOT do. Instead, the CBC Credo is expected to be a guiding light that leads employees to make the right decisions when faced with dilemmas in their daily work. It can also be seen as a guide to instill a robust compliance culture within our organization.

In addition to self-discipline, I encourage you to have the courage to speak up within the company when you notice actions or potential actions that go against the CBC Credo. For those who receive reports or consultations, please listen sincerely to these voices and respond with integrity to address any issues.

“Do the right thing.”

Let us always return to this fundamental principle and move forward together with the CBC Credo, aiming to realize a “resilient enterprise that inspires employee pride.”

I will lead by example and give my utmost effort.

Best regards,

CBC Co., Ltd. President & C.E.O.
